THE STILLNESS PRACTICE

Learn to be still. Learn to listen.

Make the practice your own.

Six weeks of personalised 1:1 meditation guidance.

A practice that becomes your own.

Meditation can seem simple — sit down, be still, focus on your breath. But when we actually begin, we often discover just how difficult being still can be.

The Stillness Practice is a six-week personalised experience designed to help you understand what happens when you pause — in the body, in the mind and in the space between.

Rather than simply following a guided meditation, you'll learn how to work with your own experience, gradually developing the confidence to sit and practise for yourself.

There is a gentle structure to the six weeks, but no fixed formula. We’ll explore different aspects of meditation — from the breath and body to thoughts, emotions, awareness and stillness — while allowing your own experience to shape what we focus on each week.

With regular practice and personal support between our longer sessions, there is space to notice what is happening, ask questions, work through difficulties and allow the practice to develop gradually.

The aim isn't to become good at meditation. It's to create a practice that belongs to you.

How it works

Six weeks of practice, guidance and support.

Each week combines a longer 1:1 session with shorter meditation practices, giving you the opportunity to explore, practise and reflect as your experience develops.

1 × 60-minute private session
Our weekly space to explore a particular aspect of meditation, practise together and talk about what you're noticing or finding difficult.

4 × 15-minute online practices
Short, regular sessions throughout the week to help you build consistency and put what we're exploring into practice.

Personal support between sessions
Journal prompts, reflections, emails or voice notes when useful — allowing the practice to continue beyond the time we spend together.

Opening & closing reflections
We'll begin by exploring where you are now and what you hope to gain from meditation. At the end of the six weeks, we'll return to those reflections and notice what has changed.

What we’ll explore

There is a gentle progression through The Stillness Practice, while leaving space for us to respond to what emerges for you along the way.

Breath
Learning to use the breath as an anchor and a place to return.

Body
Becoming more aware of sensation, tension, comfort and discomfort.

Thoughts
Understanding the thinking mind — distraction, stories, planning and the practice of noticing without needing to follow every thought.

Emotions
Learning to stay present with what we feel, without immediately needing to change, avoid or react to it.

Awareness
Expanding attention beyond a single focus and beginning to notice experience as a whole.

Stillness
Gradually becoming more comfortable with less guidance, more space and simply being present.

Meditation is the practice. Mindfulness is how we live it.

Meditation and mindfulness are closely connected, but they are not quite the same.

Meditation is the deliberate practice of paying attention. We set aside time to pause, notice when the mind wanders and gently return our attention.

Mindfulness is what happens when we begin to bring that same quality of awareness into everyday life — while walking, listening, working, eating or navigating a difficult conversation.

Meditation gives us somewhere to practise. Mindfulness gives us opportunities to use what we are learning.

Over time, we begin to notice what is happening before automatically reacting to it. That small pause gives us more space to choose how we want to respond.

Meditation helps us practise a different way of relating to our experience. Mindfulness helps us live it.

From guided to independent

At the beginning, I'll be there to guide you through the practice — helping you understand where to place your attention, what to do when the mind wanders and how to work with whatever arises.

As the weeks progress, I'll gradually step back.

There will be more space, more silence and more opportunity for you to trust your own experience rather than waiting for the next instruction.

By the end of our six weeks together, the intention is that you feel comfortable sitting down to meditate by yourself — knowing that thoughts, distractions or difficult days don't mean you're doing it wrong.

You won't leave with a perfect meditation practice.

You'll leave with one that is yours.

Is The Stillness Practice for you?

The Stillness Practice is for you if you’re curious about meditation but aren’t quite sure where to begin, or if you’ve tried before but found it difficult to create a regular practice.

It may be right for you if you:

  • Want to learn how to meditate rather than simply follow a recording

  • Find it difficult to slow down or quieten a busy mind

  • Have tried meditation before but struggled to stay consistent

  • Want to understand what happens when you become still

  • Would value personal guidance and support while you learn

  • Want to bring more awareness and presence into everyday life

You don’t need any previous experience with meditation — just a willingness to begin.
